answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/10/2019 answer text <p>The Serious Violence Strategy published in April last year sets out an analysis of the trends and drivers of rises in serious violence including homicide. The analysis shows that there are a range of factors that have driven these increases and changes in the drugs market are a major factor.</p><p>The Government is determined to tackle all form of serious violence. This includes supporting the police by recruiting 20,000 new police officers over the next three years and making it easier for them to use stop and search powers and announcing an additional £20 million to tackle county lines, including expanding the National County Lines Co-ordination Centre. It is then for Ministers to determine merit and make the final appointment.</p><p>The Home Secretary and the ACMD have a joint working protocol which supports the respective roles and responsibilities of the Government and the ACMD. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/10/2019 answer text <p>It usually takes around 5 working days for applications for status under the EU Settlement Scheme to be processed, but it can take longer.</p><p>An application may take longer to process if:</p><ul><li>UKVI need to request more information from the applicant.</li><li>The applicant is a minor and their application is not linked to an adult.</li><li>The applicant has submitted a paper application.</li><li>The applicant has a relevant criminal record.</li><li>The applicant is a non-EEA or non-Swiss citizen and is applying on the basis of a relationship that they have not relied on in a previous application to the Home Office.</li></ul><p>Any applications that have not been concluded remain under consideration.
