In making these decisions they will take into account the needs of their local populations and make the best use of available resource to maximise patient outcomes. The Partnership of East London Co-operatives is reviewing how patients are received on arrival and how joint working with general practitioners will improve patient safety and assessments.</p><p>An area has been created in the emergency department to reduce the number of patients requiring admission, which has allowed an approximate a 13% reduction in the average waiting time. Local authorities are also required to provide or arrange services that meet the social care needs of the local population, including carers, under the Care Act 2014.</p><p>We are working with stakeholders and the health and care system to identify and implement actions to support people with dementia and their carers.
