The devolved administrations receive funding through the Barnett formula. On 13 April the Chancellor announced almost £2 billion from the COVID-19 emergency response fund will go to the devolved administrations through the Barnett formula.</p> more like this

answer text <p>A Patient Tracking List is a forward-looking management tool used to help manage waiting lists and to achieve and sustain short waiting times.</p><p>The most recent available data (February 2020), shows that the number of incomplete pathways on the national waiting list total is 4,425,306. The number of incomplete pathways by trust, also for February 2020, is attached. The published data provided indicates the number of pathways, not individual patients.</p><p>Monthly data on referral to treatment times is published routinely by NHS England each month. The published data set includes data for all providers and all commissioners and can be found at the following link:</p><p><a href="http://www.england.nhs.uk/statistics/statistical-work-areas/rtt-waiting-times/" target="_blank">http://www.england.nhs.uk/statistics/statistical-work-areas/rtt-waiting-times/</a></p><p>NHS England and NHS Improvement monitor and manage performance against the waiting times requirements set out in the NHS Operational and Planning Guidance 2020/21. The NHS Standard Contract (which is mandated by NHS England for use by commissioners for all contracts for healthcare services) specifies the minimum expectations for providers’ delivery of operational plans, including waiting times. Local healthcare providers are ultimately responsible for monitoring their waiting lists and ensuring patient safety and follow up.</p>

answer text <p>As part of our concerted national efforts to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak, we are doing everything we can to ensure patients continue to access safe and effective medicines.</p><p>The Department is working closely with the pharmaceutical industry, the National Health Service and others in the supply chain to help ensure patients can access the medicines they need, and precautions are in place to reduce the likelihood of future shortages.</p><p>The Department shares regular information about impending supply issues and management plans with the NHS via networks in primary and secondary care and will liaise with relevant patient groups about issues affecting specific medicines.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Personal protective equipment supplies are being coordinated at a United Kingdom-wide level and allocation is made based on clinical need across the whole country, which ensures a planned and coordinated response to this global pandemic. Furthermore, the Department, working with NHS England, has sourced a large number of oxygen and ventilation devices for the UK. These devices have been distributed across the devolved administrations and crown dependencies. Devices have included oxygen concentrators, ventilators, patient monitors and syringe drivers.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The education and training of psychological professionals in England remains a Health Education England (HEE) priority during the COVID-19 outbreak. Regulatory bodies representing professions in the psychological workforce have recently issued statements on how training and education will be managed during this outbreak.</p><p>It is too early to make a full evaluation of the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has on any additional psychological needs for the population, but the Government will continue to keep this under review. HEE and NHS Improvement are working with professional bodies to ensure staff training continues during COVID-19 such as moving studies on line to ensure we continue to have the pipeline of staff we need to support patients and to accommodate increased demand.</p><p>Education and training in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales is a matter for each of the devolved administrations.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>NHS England has asked all mental health trusts to review advice lines to ensure that 24 hours a day, seven days a week advice is available to people of all ages through a single point of access. Mental health providers are also looking at how they can maximise the use of digital and virtual channels to keep delivering support to existing and new service users.</p><p> </p><p>NHSX has published guidance to support the use of digital and virtual channels, including off-the-shelf applications such as Skype and WhatsApp, and designed-for purpose commercial products.
