answer text <p>We are implementing the core proposals in our response to the consultation ‘Transforming children and young people’s mental health provision’ Green Paper including, where possible, adapting the support made available during the COVID-19 outbreak to the circumstances that schools and colleges and children and young people will face once the new academic year starts.</p><p>Where in place, new services such as mental health support teams, working alongside established services across health, education, children’s services and voluntary sector, will provide important support to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Liverpool Community Health Investigation was launched in June 2019 and work has begun. The <del class="ministerial">Inquiry</del> <ins class="ministerial">Investigation </ins>comprises three Stages. Stage 1 <ins class="ministerial">covers </ins><del class="ministerial">covered </del> the scale of the issues and Stage 2 <ins class="ministerial">is </ins><del class="ministerial">was</del> a clinical and structured judgement review alongside Stage 1. <ins class="ministerial">Preliminary work</ins><del class="ministerial">Work</del> on Stages 1 and 2 was completed in August 2019.</p><p> </p><p>Stage 3 will investigate individual serious patient safety incidents identified from the previous two stages to establish the nature and scale of deaths and patient harm at the Liverpool Community Health NHS Trust from 2010 to 2014.</p><p> </p><p>The Investigation has identified a number of expert advisors to assist the Chairman and details will be confirmed when the Terms of Reference <del class="ministerial">covering Stage 3</del> are published in Parliament.</p><p> </p><p> </p>

answer text <p>The Government’s number one priority for adult social care is for everyone who relies on care to get the care they need throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We will continue to ensure this happens as we cautiously ease lockdown restrictions and are determined to protect all carers and people receiving care from the still present risk of infection.</p><p>We know that this does not reduce the need for a long-term action plan for social care. Putting social care on a sustainable footing, where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, is one of the biggest challenges that we face as a society.</p><p>We have invited cross-party talks and Government will bring forward a plan for social care for the longer term.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>There is broad consensus that there is the potential for an increase in demand and we are working with the National Health Service, Public Health England and others to gather evidence and assess the potential longer-term mental health impacts and plan for how to support mental health and wellbeing throughout the ‘recovery’ phase.</p><p>We have released tailored online guidance to help people deal with their mental health at GOV.UK and Every Mind Matters.</p><p>NHS mental health services have remained open for business, offering support using digital, telephone and face-to-face approaches as appropriate. We have provided £5 million of additional funding for mental health charities to support adults and children and we have announced a further £4.2 million for mental health charities as part of the Government’s UK-wide £750 million package of support for the voluntary sector.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The fourth progress report of the cross-Government suicide prevention strategy recognises autistic people as a high-risk group, and the NHS Long Term Plan reaffirms the National Health Service’s commitment to make suicide prevention a priority over the next decade. This Plan will see investment in all areas of the country by 2023/24 to support local suicide prevention plans and establish suicide bereavement support services.</p><p> </p><p>We are also revisiting the work to refresh the autism strategy, working closely with the Department for Education and other Government departments. As part of this work and as a key priority, we will consider what further action can be taken to support autistic children and young people to maintain good mental health and to prevent instances of suicide.</p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this
