<p>NHS England is currently in discussion with Vertex about its range of drugs for treating cystic fibrosis, including the drug Orkambi. NHS England will continue to support discussions with pharmaceutical companies that aim to provide clinically effective medicines to patients at a level that is cost-effective, in line with standard National Institute for Health and Care Excellence practice for assessing new drugs before they are introduced into the National Health Service.</p>
