answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/06/2020 answer text <p>Mental health services remain open and are working to support people with mental health problems through the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. The Government and NHS England and NHS Improvement are working closely with mental health trusts to ensure those who need them continue to have access to mental health services, including 18-25 year olds. For those with severe needs or in crisis, NHS England has instructed all National Health Service mental health trusts to establish 24 hours a day, seven days a week mental health crisis lines, clearly accessible from trust websites as an urgent priority. Mental health providers are using digital and virtual channels such as helplines and video consultations, to keep delivering support and manage the impact of self-isolation on staff and patients. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/06/2020 answer text <p>The Government’s public health guidance on COVID-19 is under constant review to ensure it reflects the latest advice from the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) and the latest evidence on the transmission of the virus. The Prime Minister has commissioned a comprehensive review of the two metre social distancing guidance, which will take advice from a range of experts including the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Scientific Adviser as well as behavioural scientists and economists. The review will examine how the two metre guidance is working at the moment, and will look at evidence around transmission in different environments, incidence rates and international comparisons.</p><p>SAGE provides scientific advice to support United Kingdom decision-makers during emergencies. In recognition of the importance of transparency in these unprecedented times, SAGE has been publishing the statements and the accompanying evidence it has reviewed on the GOV.UK website to demonstrate how the scientific understanding of COVID-19 has continued to evolve as new data emerges, and how SAGE’s advice has quickly adapted to new findings that reflect a changing situation. Directors of Public Health are also receiving fully identifiable test, case and contact tracing data where the case data includes, address, postcode, sex, age, NHS Number, occupation, test date, and additional data describing progress through the NHS Test and Trace contact tracing process. Public Health England (PHE) provides access to this data via a secure platform to Directors of Public Health to support them to carry out their outbreak management responsibilities. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/06/2020 answer text <p>The Carers Action Plan 2018-2020 ‘Supporting carers today’ (published on 5 June 2018) sets out a two-year programme of targeted work to support unpaid carers in England. It puts a focus on practical actions to support carers, including improving identification of carers, and gives visibility to the work already underway or planned within Government.</p><p>In addition to the Government’s Carers Action Plan, the National Health Service has set out a plan to help improve the identification and support of carers and unpaid carers within the NHS Long Term Plan. Understandably, the implementation of some aspects have been impacted by the COVID-19 response. The NHS Long Term Plan focuses on four key areas:</p><p>- Implementing Quality Markers in primary care: this is a framework to support general practitioner practices identify carers within their practices and thinking about their individual support needs, from offering health screening to connecting to local support organisations;</p><p>- Developing a similar set of quality markers for secondary care, which will incorporate the promotion and embedding of carer passports; and</p><p>- Improving identification of carers from vulnerable communities: many carers feel hidden and we will be working with regional, Integrated Care System Carers Leads and Carers organisations to co-design approaches to make NHS service to carers who may have felt excluded or found access difficult.</p><p>NHS England has also worked with young carers across the country to develop a set of ‘top tips’ for primary care to improve their experience of and access to services. People in relationships who live apart can form a bubble as long as one of the people in a relationship lives in a single adult household and all members of the other household are willing to form an exclusive support bubble.</p><p>It is very important that if someone in any of these linked households shows COVID-19 symptoms, or is otherwise self-isolating, they should all stay at home.
