answer text <p>​The infrastructure that supports migrants in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is under pressure, especially as we come to the coldest part of the year. A number of humanitarian organisations assess that the Vučjak site is unsafe and undignified and have urged the authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina to relocate those based at the site urgently. Since 2018, EU funding to Bosnia and Herzegovina on migration issues has amounted to a total of €34m, including the United Kingdom contribution, and the United Kingdom provided £565,000 of bilateral funding to communities affected by migration at the start of 2019.</p> more like this

answer text <p>​The former Minister for Europe raised this issue most recently on 13 May with the Turkish Ambassador. The United Kingdom has encouraged the Turkish authorities to implement the recommendations made by the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CPT) following their previous visit to the prison in 2016.</p><p>The British Government engages closely with Turkey to encourage the full protection of fundamental rights, including with regard to the treatment of detainees. I emphasised the importance of these issues when I met the Turkish Ambassador in September. We shall continue to monitor the situation closely and maintain our support for legitimate and democratic Kurdish groups in Turkey.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Of the £40 million support package for Chagossians, approximately £21.3 million is Official Development Assistance (ODA) for DFID to progress in Mauritius (an ODA-eligible country). The remainder (£18.7 million) is non-ODA for the FCO to progress in the United Kingdom and Seychelles. As of now, the FCO has allocated £3.3 million for an extended and ongoing programme of 'heritage visits' to BIOT and a number of projects in development<em>. </em>Officials are continuing work to develop further projects and activities in line with the areas of support announced by Ministers in 2016: Health, Social Care, Education, Employment, and Culture (awareness and retention).</p> more like this
