<p>The Government of Turkey has replaced more than 90 Mayors with trustees on the grounds that those mayors were charged with terror offences. We have not made representations on these specific cases to the Turkish authorities.</p><p>Local elections in Turkey are scheduled for March 2019, and we will continue to urge that elections be free, fair and inclusive, in line with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe recommendations.</p>
