They do not weaken or undermine the legal basis in international law for British sovereignty over Gibraltar, including British Gibraltar Territorial Waters. The Royal Navy continues to challenge all incursions into British Gibraltar Territorial Waters. answer text
The Royal Navy challenged the incursion by Spanish navy vessel Infanta Elena on 25 February, as it does all such unlawful maritime incursions in British Gibraltar Territorial Waters. We backed this up by making a formal diplomatic protest to the Spanish government, as is our standard practice. Spanish incursions into British Gibraltar Territorial Waters do not weaken or undermine the legal basis in international law for British sovereignty over Gibraltar including British Gibraltar Territorial Waters. The British Government regularly makes clear this position to the Spanish government.
more like this

answer text
A Spanish fishing vessel was present in British Gibraltar Territorial Waters (BGTW) on 26 December 2014. However, Spanish fishing vessels do not constitute State vessels. Accordingly, our assessment is that this incident did not give rise to any violation of British sovereignty. In accordance with the Constitutional division of responsibilities between the British Government and Her Majesty's Government of Gibraltar, the enforcement of laws relating to the activity of commercial and recreational vessels in BGTW is a matter for the authorities in Gibraltar.
more like this

The European Commission itself has expressed its concerns about the lack of progress, as well as Spain’s refusal to share its plans to upgrade border infrastructure with the authorities in Gibraltar. We will continue to work with the European Commission to ensure that Spain completes the required works, with minimal impact on existing traffic and within an agreed timeframe.

more like this

answer text
Her Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar acted swiftly to implement changes at its border with Spain, in response to recommendations from the European Commission. These changes range from reducing the number of cigarettes allowed in the border area from 1000 to 200 per person, through to infrastructure upgrades aimed at risk profiling travellers, including providing facilities for dedicated vehicle searches. The European Commission has welcomed the steps taken to date.
more like this
