answer text <p>The reciprocal agreement on citizens’ rights will apply to the entire United Kingdom, covering Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and all parts of England, and Gibraltar. We will discuss similar arrangements with Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland (the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) States) on a reciprocal basis.</p><p>We are approaching these negotiations constructively and respectfully, with a determination to secure a deal that works for both the UK and the EU.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Until exit negotiations are concluded, the UK remains a full member of the European Union and all the rights and obligations of EU membership remain in force. During this period the Government will continue to negotiate, implement and apply EU legislation.</p><p>Once we have left the EU the process of transposing directives will cease. The Repeal Bill will repeal the European Communities Act 1972, ending the supremacy of EU law in the UK, and will preserve the domestic law we have made to transpose directives before the day we leave the EU.</p><p>Please refer to the EUR-lex website for further information regarding the Directives awaiting transposition into UK law before 29 March 2019.</p><p>ATTACHMENT: Round Robin guidance on EU Directives.</p> more like this

answer text <p>For mutual recognition of professional qualifications, the UK will seek to ensure that professional qualifications obtained prior to the date of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU continue to be recognised after the UK’s exit from the EU.</p><p>The UK will also seek to ensure that where a person has begun an associated process that has not concluded by the withdrawal date, arrangements will be made to allow that process to continue.
