answer text <p>Of the six contracts placed by 7 July 2023 under International Fund for Ukraine (IFU) Urgent Bidding Round one, two were planned to begin deliveries by the end of July 2023. One contract met this timeframe. The second was delayed due to the installation of a critical operational upgrade, with deliveries beginning in August.</p><p> </p><p>Additional deliveries from both contracts will be made over the coming months with all deliveries expected to have been made by January 2024.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Delivery of capabilities to the Ukrainian Armed Forces have begun from four of the six International Fund for Ukraine (IFU) Urgent Bidding Round one contracts placed by 7 July 2023. Deliveries from the remaining two contracts are scheduled to begin over the coming months. All deliveries from these contracts are expected to have taken place by February 2024.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Ministry of Defence takes its cybersecurity obligations very seriously and works constantly to improve cyber security through its people, processes and technology.</p><p>The Cyber Resilience Strategy for Defence published in May 2022 sets out the steps that the MOD is taking to enhance cyber security and deliver secure foundations for Defence, working in collaboration with Government, industry, academia, and international allies and partners.</p><p>The Cyber Resilience Strategy for Defence is aligned with the National Cyber Strategy, the Government Cyber Security Strategy, and is a core part of the Digital Strategy for Defence. The aim is to ensure that Defence can continue to deliver its purpose and support the national effort to strengthen the UK in the cyber domain and cement its authority as a democratic and responsible cyber power.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Steel is procured in accordance with Cabinet Office guidelines. Many defence programmes require specialised steels that are not manufactured in the UK; nevertheless, we encourage the sourcing of UK steel wherever it is technically and commercially feasible.</p><p>Steel for our major defence programmes is generally sourced by our prime contractors from a range of UK and international suppliers. This Government is committed to creating the right conditions in the UK for a competitive and sustainable steel industry. It publishes its future pipeline for steel requirements, together with data on how Departments are complying with steel procurement guidance. This enables UK steel manufacturers to better plan and bid for Government contracts.</p> more like this

answer text <p>All steel procured is in accordance with British Steel standards where an applicable British Standard exists.</p><p> </p><p>Ministry of Defence Policy requires all construction materials for major projects go through a sustainability appraisal and be sourced in a sustainable manner in accordance with BES 6001.</p><p> </p><p>BS 8666 is the British Standard for Scheduling, Dimensioning, Bending and Cutting of Steel Reinforcement for Concrete.
