answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/12/2014 answer text <p>The business case this Department prepared for investment at the December 2014 European Space Agency (ESA) Ministerial undertook an economic analysis using data from past space and science interventions and modelled the potential returns from our planned future investment in the ESA programme. This modelling has projected that for every pound of public money invested we will get a return of over £10.</p><p> </p><p>The estimates of the future markets which could be accessed by UK industry as a result of the investment are up to £1.5 billion. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/10/2014 answer text <p>The metals sector is expected to publish its strategy in Spring 2015.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>We are supporting the metals sector, through the Metals Forum (an umbrella body bringing together the metals related trade associations) on the development of this strategy: this will bring metals into line with other important foundation sectors which have published strategies already. Its assessment of the adequacy of the transition period, based on available evidence, is set out in the consultation-stage Impact Assessment.</p><p> </p><p>This proposal for the transition period is subject to consultation. The consultation was launched on 15 September 2014 and will close on 27 October 2014.
