answer text <p>Over half of the UK’s electricity comes from low-carbon sources. The Carbon Brief found that from July to September 2019, renewables accounted for 40% of overall generation, compared to 33% last year.</p><p> </p><p>The Government is investing £557 million in further Contracts for Difference auctions and over £3 billion for renewable technology innovation.</p><p> </p><p>Additionally, we’re phasing out coal by 2025 and over 50% of electricity generation will be from renewable sources by 2030.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government is aware of concern over the impact of fireworks noise on people and animals. This is why there is already a maximum legal noise level set for fireworks.</p><p> </p><p>The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has been working to develop a fact-based evidence base on the key issues that have been raised around fireworks which includes noise levels.</p><p> </p><p>We are receiving representations from a range of stakeholders including members of the public, organisations and charities, representing a range of views.
