answer text <p>All individuals applying for roles at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy are subject to Disclosure Scotland checks during the application process.</p><p>In line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974), Disclosure Scotland checks confirm the unspent convictions of an individual seeking employment at the department but do not disclose this information.
