answer text <p>This matter has been comprehensively debated on many occasions in Parliament. The Government will not be making changes to its policy on state pension age for women born in the 1950s, in respect of the 1995, 2007 and 2011 Pension Acts. DWP Ministers have met with a number of constituents who have been affected by changes to the State Pension age.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The Government does not intend to make further concessions in addition to those arrangements already made for women affected by the acceleration of increases in State Pension age that have already been made.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Department officials meet regularly with PIP Assessment Providers to discuss all aspects of their delivery of PIP assessments, including ensuring it works effectively for people with long-term health conditions or disabilities.</p><p> </p><p>PIP is a functional assessment, and addresses the impact of an individual’s medical conditions on their daily life, rather than the medical conditions themselves. There is no requirement for the Health Professional to diagnose a condition or to recommend treatment options.</p><p> </p><p>The assessments are undertaken by qualified Health Professionals who are experts in disability analysis with knowledge of the likely functional effects of a wide range of health conditions. They have access to a range of resources as well as experienced clinicians to support them in assessing claimants.</p> more like this

answer text <p>As announced at the Summer Budget 2015, the funding of the free TV licence for those aged 75 and over will transfer to the BBC from 2020.</p><p> </p><p>Currently the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for reimbursing the BBC for free TV licences for those aged 75 and over. BRMAs are geographical areas used for the purposes of setting Local Housing Allowance (LHA) rates in the private rented sector. Whilst Rent Officers are able to review these areas, any changes to the BRMA boundaries must be referred to the Secretary of State for approval, as laid down in the Rent Officers (Housing Benefit Functions) Order 1997 and the Rent Officers (Universal Credit Functions) Order 2013.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Employment is key to helping people out of poverty and to make a real and lasting change to the lives of disadvantaged families and children. Our welfare and tax reforms are designed to incentivise employment and to support people to progress in work. Employment is now at near-record levels and the number of children living in a family where no one is working is 608,000 lower than it was in 2010. Improving Lives: Helping Workless Families, published on 4 April, set out a framework for a continued focus on improving children’s outcomes, now and in the future.</p><p> </p><p>The Department does not forecast estimates of low income, but the next HBAI publication for 2016/17 data has been <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/announcements/households-below-average-income-199495-to-201617" target="_blank">pre-announced</a> and will be published by the end of March 2018. The government is committed to continue to publish this series on an annual basis.</p> more like this
