unstar this property answer text <p>The Government has made significant investment to improve work incentives including: the reduction in the Universal Credit taper rate from 65% to 63% in 2017, and an extra £1.7 billion a year put into work allowances for working parents and disabled claimants to increase them by £1,000 a year from April 2019. This is providing a boost to the incomes of the lowest paid and result in 2.4 million families keeping an extra £630 per year of what they earn.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>There are 12 Carillion DB schemes in the Pension protection Fund (PPF) assessment period.</p><p> </p><p>The PPF are working with scheme administrators to determine whether they can pay pensions at or above PPF benefits. Where a scheme cannot do this, the PPF will assume responsibility and pay compensation.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Individuals above their scheme’s normal pension age will receive 100% of their accrued pension, and all other members will receive 90%, subject to an overall cap.</p><p> </p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>The government is committed to ensuring that the services and benefits it offers works for everyone including women, as we tackle the Covid 19 crisis. This Government has invested over £6.5bn in strengthening the safety net overall, including making changes to the benefits system to ensure claimants receive the support they need. Notably Universal Credit claimants, and people receiving Working Tax Credits, are receiving an increase in the standard rate of up to £1040 per year for the next 12 months, additional to the uprating announced in November 2019.</p><p>Local Housing Allowance rates for Universal Credit and Housing Benefit claimants have also been increased.</p> more like this

Working with providers and the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, we developed guidance to ensure the re-opening of assessment centres and resumption of face-to-face assessments can be conducted safely. unstar this property answer text <p>The Government is committed to safeguarding pension savings. <br></p><p />The Pension Schemes Act 2021, notably Section 125, will strengthen rules around pension transfers and<br />introduce new criminal offences for unscrupulous employers who mismanage schemes. These measures will protect savers in Bury South and across the United Kingdom<p /><p /><p>Many pension scams are initiated and perpetuated online, and that is why I am meeting with Google on 10 March to explore what action is being taken against online pension fraud<br>and persuade them to stop fraudsters using their site.</p><p /><p /> more like this
