PBD also covers a range of gambling activity beyond the football pools. PBD is charged at 15% on gross profits (stakes minus prizes), which is the same rate as for general betting. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/10/2019 answer text <p>In October 2018 HM Treasury, the Bank of England and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) released the final report of the Cryptoasset Taskforce.</p><p>The government continues to endorse the approach set out in the report, including its recommendations, as the right way to facilitate innovation while protecting consumers and firms. The Impact Assessment provides estimates of the costs the National Living Wage increases will place on some businesses. The Government recognises that the increases will mean extra costs for some businesses. However, it’s right that workers are fairly rewarded for their input into the economy.</p><p> </p><p>More generally, since 2014 the Employment Allowance has helped businesses with the costs of employment, reducing employers’ National Insurance contributions bill by £3,000.
