answer text <p>The Apprenticeship Levy was introduced on a UK wide basis from 6 April 2017. Employers are charged at 0.5% of their pay bill over £3 million. Information on how much Apprenticeship Levy individual employers pay, such as Welsh Police forces, cannot be made publicly available because of tax payer confidentiality. Skills policy is devolved and the devolved administrations will receive a population share of the Office for Budget Responsibility’s March 2016 forecast of revenue from the levy. In 2017-18, the Welsh Government will receive £128 million.</p> more like this

answer text <p>HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) gathers information about who is within reasonable daily travel of the regional centres through one-to-one meetings which take place about a year before office closure. HMRC is committed to retaining all staff who can travel to another office where there is a skills match or that can be achieved through retraining, if that is right for the individual and the business. It aims to keep the number of exits to a minimum, but will fully support staff who leave the department.</p><p>Except for Victoria Avenue, Harrogate, the offices listed are not due to close until 2019/20 or 2020/21, and so one-to-one meetings have not yet taken place.</p><p>17 people based at Harrogate have left HMRC employment; 15 left on Voluntary Exit terms on 31 October 2016 and two left on Voluntary Redundancy Terms on 21 December 2016.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The Chancellor announced at Autumn Statement 2016 that the government will commit £400m for a new Digital Infrastructure Investment Fund, at least matched by private finance, to invest in new fibre networks over the next 4 years.</p><p> </p><p>The fund will be managed independently by a private sector fund manager or managers, who will evaluate investment opportunities and make decisions on a commercial basis. The process to appoint a fund manager and launch the fund will be completed in due course.</p> more like this
