The EU has confirmed that UK passport holders will be treated as third country nationals under the Schengen Borders Code, which mandates additional checks, including questioning and wet stamping of passports.<p> </p>If the UK leaves the EU without a deal, UK passport holders will be eligible for visa-free travel to the EU for periods of up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
