	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/07/2022 answer text <p>As of 31/03/2022, the total number of full-time employees in HM Treasury earning below the London Living Wage rate of £11.05 per hour was 17. This number is comprised mainly of apprentices. The Living Wage rate is a suggested rate of pay by the Living Wage Foundation, rather than a legislated minimum wage.</p><p> </p><p>All HM Treasury employees are paid above the statutory minimum wage. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/10/2017 answer text <p>This PQ can only be responded to fully at a disproportionate cost as data held includes other salary increases (e.g. promotion increases) besides the annual pay award increases.</p><p> </p><p>The annual pay awards for the delegated grades (i.e. below Senior Civil Service) have been applied in accordance with HM Treasury pay guidance that restricts increases in paybill to an average of one per cent across all staff. Over the last few years, the department has targeted pay awards so that lower paid staff receive higher awards than those at the top of pay ranges.</p><p> </p><p>The annual pay arrangements for the Senior Civil Service are based on the outcomes of the Senior Salaries Review Body Report and the Government’s response to its recommendations. The arrangements are applied centrally by Cabinet Office. Over the last three years, pay awards for HM Treasury senior civil servants have based on their performance and their position in the pay range. The information is up to date for the last 2 financial years 2012-13 and 2013-14.</p><br /><p>Non-consolidated performance related pay is only paid to reward excellence, for example to recognise and incentivise those responsible for delivering high quality public services and savings to the taxpayer. These one-off payments are not pensionable. It is the responsibility of Departments to implement changes to their policy and contract framework, and HMRC are awaiting guidance due shortly from CSEP to support HMRC in doing so.</p><p> </p><p>HMRC have made a business case to Treasury to ask for pay flexibility to allow HMRC to negotiate a new pay and reward framework with the trade unions. HMRC are planning to implement these changes from June next year and will make back payments where applicable.
