answer text <p>Central Government Departments aim to pay 80% of undisputed and valid invoices within 5 days, with the remainder paid within 30 days.</p><p> </p><p>In 2015-16 the Department for Transport paid 93.9% of such invoices within 5 days, and 99.3% within 30 days.</p><p> </p><p>The Department has published its overall payment performance data at:</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/565053/dft-prompt-payment-data-2016.csv/preview" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/565053/dft-prompt-payment-data-2016.csv/preview</a></p><p> </p><p>To support prompt payment further, since June 2015 all central Government departments have been required to accept unstructured e-invoices - invoices which can be sent in by email.
