answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/07/2019 answer text <p>As part of its GM 2040 Transport Strategy Delivery Plan, Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is undertaking further study of the feasibility of opening a number of new stations in the Greater Manchester area. Work to date by TfGM has shortlisted those stations worth proceeding with, and Golborne has been identified as being one of three potential new station sites that could benefit the Hon. Member’s constituents.</p><p> </p><p>The potential site being considered in Golborne is close to the site of the former Golborne South station on the West Coast Main Line, north of Golborne Junction. Before vehicles can be sold or registered in the United Kingdom manufacturers must ensure compliance with international vehicle approval requirements, which include defined beam patterns and intensities to minimise the occurrence of glare.</p><p> </p><p>The Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989 prohibit the use of headlamps that can cause undue dazzle or discomfort to other road users. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/07/2019 answer text <p>The measures set out in the Government’s statutory Cycling and Walking Investment Strategy, as well as the almost £2 billion being invested in cycling and walking over the current Parliament, will help boost the use of e-bikes as well as the use of conventional bikes. The Department has recently published refreshed cycle to work guidance to make it easier for employers to provide employees with cycles, including e-bikes, worth over £1,000. Confidentiality Agreements help to avoid placing homes and businesses in unnecessary blight and protect commercially sensitive information and the personal information of those potentially affected by any proposed changes. Highways England does not discuss the existence or otherwise of specific arrangements.</p><p> </p><p>The Department for Transport has not asked any local authorities to sign a Confidentiality Agreement in relation to this project. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/07/2019 answer text <p>The Maritime and Coastguard Agency routinely invite a range of Government and industry stakeholders to a preparatory briefing meeting prior to each International Maritime Organisation session, including the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC).</p><p> </p><p>At these meetings the attendees will discuss the maritime issues on the agenda and provide advice on these issues. Both the UK Government and its maritime stakeholders are committed to maritime safety including (a) seafarer and (b) ferry industry safety.
