answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/04/2020 answer text <p>The Government recognises the importance of the UK aviation industry, which is why the Chancellor has announced an unprecedented package of economic measures to support both the sector’s businesses and its employees</p><p> </p><p>These measures include the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, which helps firms to retain employees. This Scheme allows businesses to put employees on temporary leave, with the Government paying cash grants of 80% of their wages up to a cap of £2,500 per month, providing the business keeps the staff employed. The Government has also issued guidance on accessing Statutory Sick Pay and Universal Credit.</p><p>The Department for Transport continues to engage closely with key industry stakeholders to understand their position and the support they need. With the support of DfT, GCS is replacing its fleet with Ultra Low Emission Vehicles (ULEVs) as vehicles become due for replacement. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/01/2020 answer text <p>The Government is ensuring the railway plays its part in delivering our ambitions to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and to reduce air pollution created by transport.</p><p> </p><p>We continue to expand the electrified rail network where it delivers passenger and environmental benefits and value for money. This allows removal of diesel trains. question text	To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what recent assessment he has made of the effect of the extension of eligibility criteria for the Blue Badge scheme on trends in the level of applications to that scheme.

answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/10/2019 answer text <p>The Department for Transport only has information about the numbers of applications that are submitted online using the gov.uk service. Some local authorities have their own online applications, and most local authorities also offer either a paper-based or another form of assisted application for applicants.</p><p> </p><p>Prior to the launch of the new criteria, an average of around 2,000 applications for a badge were received online via gov.uk by local authorities each day. Monday’s are the busiest day, with around 2,200 submitted applications received prior to the launch of the new criteria on 30 August 2019.</p><p> </p><p>On the day the new criteria launched 9,134 applications were received online, with a further 4,503 applications received on the first Monday.
