	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/09/2019 answer text <p>London International Shipping Week is the largest trade event in the UK this year, with 20,000 individuals attending over 200 events across 80 venues. It is a great opportunity to set out the Government’s innovative agenda highlighted in Maritime 2050.</p><p> </p><p>We have spent around £25,000 in previous years (2013, 2015 and 2017). 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/07/2019 answer text <p>In June 2019, the UK became the first major economy to legislate for net zero emissions, setting a target for 2050. Emissions for UK domestic shipping fall within this target. Although emissions from international shipping and aviation are not formally included within the legislation at this point, it is essential that these sectors play their role. To ensure we are on the right trajectory for net zero emissions across the economy, we will continue to leave ‘headroom’ for international shipping and aviation emissions in our carbon budgets. Government continues to be of the view that action to tackle emissions from these sectors must be done globally to be effective. The UK will continue to take a leadership role at the IMO, pushing for the most ambitious measures to deliver the vision, and emission reduction targets, of the IMO GHG Strategy.</p><p> </p><p>The Clean Maritime Plan sets out aspirational goals for the sector, not mandatory targets. These goals encompass both international and domestic shipping in UK waters. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/07/2019 answer text <p>Ahead of a potential exit on 29 March, DfT worked with a number of Departments to develop planning assumptions for a potential no deal exit. Since April, Departments have reviewed the planning assumptions and developed new assumptions based on the most recent information from Member States and in light of the extension to 31 October 2019. These assumptions are focused on a reasonable worst case scenario, rather than what we expect to happen, and have already been shared with key partners to support revision of contingency plans, where appropriate, for a potential no deal scenario on 31 October. These planning assumptions remain under review throughout the planning process.
