answer text <p>The UK Government has been working collaboratively with the Scottish Government to implement the Industrial Strategy.</p><p> </p><p>We have announced sector deals in Life Sciences, Creative Industries, Artificial Intelligence, Automotive and Construction. I am also aware of further proposals for sector deals from the oil and gas, and food and drink sectors which have the potential to make a significant contribution in Scotland.</p> more like this

answer text <p>I have met with RBS to discuss their recent announcements. Decisions on opening and closing branches and the format of the provision of service are taken by the management team of each bank on a commercial basis and the Government does not intervene in these decisions.</p><p>The Government is committed to widespread free access to cash. LINK, the organisation that runs the UK’s ATM network, operates a Financial Inclusion Programme, which subsidises ATMs in areas that have poor access to cash and would not otherwise be viable. LINK has committed to protecting all free-to-use ATMs which are a kilometre or more from the next nearest free-to-use ATM.</p><p>The Payment Systems Regulator Limited (PSR) has also committed to using their powers to maintain widespread free access to cash should they need to.</p> more like this

answer text <p>I have regular discussions with the Defence Secretary and other Cabinet colleagues on a number of matters.</p><p> </p><p>The National Shipbuilding Strategy stated that all non-warships, including the Fleet Solid Support ships (FSS) will be competed internationally, confirming the pre-existing procurement strategy for the FSS. The Strategy had collective Government agreement prior to publication. The MOD is required by law to procure FSS through competition in accordance with its obligations under the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations (DSPCR) 2011 where there is no lawful exemption which can be applied. The MOD has actively encouraged UK shipyards to take part in the competition and we anticipate strong bids from UK shipyards.</p><p> </p> more like this
