answer text <p>The Government has agreed a detailed proposal for a UK-EU free trade area which will establish a common rule book for industrial goods and agricultural products and maintain high standards in these areas.</p><p> </p><p>This proposal will protect jobs and livelihoods and ensure that both sides meet their commitments to Northern Ireland and Ireland through the overall future relationship, whilst retaining the constitutional integrity of the United Kingdom and respecting the result of the referendum. Further details are set out in the White Paper.</p><p> </p><p>We are confident that this proposal will work for the UK and the EU and look forward to productive discussions. As a responsible Government we will also continue to prepare for a range of outcomes, including the unlikely scenario in which no mutually satisfactory agreement can be reached.</p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this
