answer text <p>The Secretary of State for Northern Ireland meets regularly with Northern Ireland stakeholders, including representatives of the road haulage industry to discuss a range of relevant issues, such as the Windsor Framework.</p><p> </p><p>The Windsor Framework restores the free flow of trade from Great Britain to Northern Ireland, with a first-of-its-kind green lane that will enable goods destined for Northern Ireland to move easily without burdensome customs bureaucracy.</p><p> </p><p>Customs paperwork will be scrapped and replaced with data sharing of ordinary, existing commercial information. This information will be provided from sales invoices and transport contracts – information that businesses will already hold and use for the movement of goods.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>Policing is a devolved matter in Northern Ireland and the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s main budget is allocated by the Department of Justice from the Northern Ireland Executive block grant.</p><p>The recent Budget that the Secretary of State set for Northern Ireland provides the Northern Ireland Department of Justice with a total resource allocation of £1.2 billion. It is for the Department of Justice now to determine the allocation of funding to the Police Service of Northern Ireland from its overall budget.</p><p>In addition to the block grant, the UK Government provides the Police Service of Northern Ireland with additional security funding to tackle the SEVERE threat from Northern Ireland related terrorism. In the financial year 2022-23 this was circa £32 million and this figure is confirmed through to 2024-25.</p><p> </p> more like this

In recent months, we have met members of the Women's Policy Group, the Women's Aid Federation, and women's organisations working in Derry/Londonderry and Belfast. In regards to the Training Women's Centre specifically, Lord Caine visited the Training Women's Centre early last year, and my officials have met with them at various points over the last year. answer text <p>Support for the voluntary and community sector is a devolved matter in Northern Ireland. The Northern Ireland Department for Communities has the responsibility for matters relating to the provision of funding to Christian places of worship in Northern Ireland.</p><p> </p><p>As the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland set out in his Written Ministerial Statement to Parliament on 27 April, Northern Ireland Office officials and the Secretary of State have worked intensively with the Northern Ireland departments to set a budget for Northern Ireland for the 2023-24 financial year.</p><p> </p><p>The right people to make these decisions are locally elected politicians in a fully functioning Northern Ireland Executive and Northern Ireland Assembly. answer text <p>The Fresh Start Agreement reaffirmed the commitment made by the UK Government in the 2014 Stormont House Agreement to provide up to £500 million over 10 years of new capital funding to support shared and integrated education. This funding is subject to individual projects being agreed between the Northern Ireland Executive and the UK Government. A total of 23 integrated schools and five shared campus capital projects are currently being supported by the package.</p><p> </p><p>The Government continues to work with Northern Ireland Departments on funding arrangements and projects under the Agreement. Funding allocations are subject to HM Treasury approval and Northern Ireland Office officials also continue to engage with HM Treasury on delivering the Northern Ireland Budget for 2023-24 as set out in the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland’s Written Ministerial Statement on 27 April.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government is acutely aware of the broader pressures facing health services in Northern Ireland and remains committed to supporting the restoration of the Executive in Northern Ireland as soon as possible.</p><p> </p><p>As such, a locally elected, accountable and effective devolved government is, and will remain, the right way to address this issue. The Government stands ready to work with a restored Executive, but we have a responsibility to ensure public services and management of public funds can continue in its absence.</p><p> </p><p>As such, the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland has introduced the Northern Ireland (Interim Arrangements) Bill to ensure continued clarity on the powers for Northern Ireland Departments to maintain delivery of public services.
