Our commitment to devolution under the terms of the Belfast Agreement remains steadfast.</p><p> </p><p>In the continued absence of devolved government, however, the UK Government will take the necessary steps to ensure good governance and the continued delivery of public services in Northern Ireland. That included the step taken last week by the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland in the setting of a budget for 2018-19.
