unstar this property answer text <p><del class="ministerial">It is our assessment that no legislation taken forward by the Northern Ireland Office since August 2014 has required the application of the Family Test by the UK Government.</del></p><p> </p><p><del class="ministerial">The Government is committed to supporting families. To achieve this, in 2014 we introduced the Family Test, which aims to ensure that impacts on family relationships and functioning are recognised early on during the process of policy development and help inform the policy decisions made by Ministers. The Family Test was not designed to be a ‘tick-box’ exercise, and as such there is no requirement for departments to publish the results of assessments made under the Family Test.</del></p><p> </p><p> </p><p><ins class="ministerial">Many of the policy areas linked to strengthening families in Northern Ireland are devolved matters. The UK Government is, though, helping families with the everyday cost of living by keeping taxes low, including taking 31,000 people in Northern Ireland out of paying income tax altogether (compared to 2015-16), freezing fuel duty for the eight successive year and increasing the National Living Wage again from April 2018, delivering a £600 annual pay-rise to full-time workers in Northern Ireland.</ins></p><p> </p><p> </p>

Tourism Ireland is responsible for marketing the island of Ireland overseas.</p><p> </p><p>VisitBritain and Tourism Northern Ireland recently signed a partnership agreement where they will work together on specific projects to market Northern Ireland to visitors.</p><p> </p><p>Over the last decade, Northern Ireland has become a 'must-see' tourist destination, and we will continue to encourage visitors to come to experience the many wonderful sights and attractions it has to offer.</p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>I have every sympathy for the victims of terrorist violence, for which there could be no possible justification.<strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>My officials have been working closely with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in relation to the Government’s response to the Northern Ireland Affairs Committee’s report on support for UK victims of IRA attacks that used Gaddafi-supplied semtex and weapons, published on 2 May 2017.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The Government intends to submit its response to the report after the summer recess. unstar this property answer text <p>The Government has consistently made clear our objective of maintaining as seamless and frictionless border as possible so that everyday movements across the border can continue as they do now. This is a desire shared with the EU and with Ireland.</p><p> </p><p>As agreed in the September negotiating round, we are working with the Commission Task Force to do some detailed joint scoping of the issues arising from North-South cooperation that will need to be addressed as part of the Northern Ireland and Ireland strand of the negotiations in the context of the UK's future relationship with the EU.</p><p> </p><p>This Conservative Government is getting on with the job of delivering a Brexit that works for everyone, including young people in Northern Ireland.</p><p><strong> </strong></p> more like this
