Although slightly under the public sector target of 2.3%, this is due to two apprentices completing their apprenticeships during 2018. unstar this property answer text <p>I recognise the public concern caused by knife crime attacks across the UK and the impact such attacks have had on local communities. The Offensive Weapons Bill aims to tackle knife crime, through measures including the introduction of Knife Crime Prevention Orders, which will give the police additional powers of intervention in dealing with young people who are most at risk of being involved in knife crime. The Rt hon Member will be aware that in Northern Ireland, knife crime is a devolved matter, and is the responsibility of the Department of Justice. My officials continue to support constructive engagement on the Bill with officials in the Devolved Administration.</p> more like this

Their officials are ensuring that appropriate advice in relation to welfare mitigations is available for an incoming Minister.</p><p>In addition, the Northern Ireland Affairs and Work and Pensions Committees are holding a joint inquiry into welfare policy in Northern Ireland. The inquiry will consider the impact of the mitigation package, and how the alternative payment arrangements in Northern Ireland are working in practice.</p><p>It is for the Department for Communities in Northern Ireland to provide the necessary information to facilitate this inquiry.</p> more like this

It is Northern Ireland’s largest social landlord and provides 86,000 social homes. unstar this property answer text <p>The Transparency of Donations and Loans etc. (Northern Ireland Political Parties) Order 2018 introduced transparency around donations and loans to political parties in Northern Ireland from July 2017. The date set in the legislation for introduction of the transparency regime followed a consultation process and represented a broad consensus across the Northern Ireland political parties.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has no plans in place to legislate to facilitate the publication of pre-2017 data. We are committed to undertaking an operational review to consider all aspects of the operation of the donation and loans systems in Northern Ireland, to review whether there might be a case for further reforms.</p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this
