It is important to note, however, that the Hart report was commissioned by the NI Executive, and the method of response to the recommendations should be for a restored devolved Government to decide.</p><p>I am aware that the Head of the Northern Ireland Civil Service, David Sterling, has made a commitment to have legislation to implement the recommendations of the Hart report ready to publish soon, and I am assured that Mr Sterling will take what action he feels appropriate at this stage to keep the process moving forward so that a restored Executive may be able to action this work swiftly.</p><p>The Secretary of State for Northern Ireland will of course consider carefully any invitation she receives from Judge Hart or the groups that represent victims of historical institutional abuse.</p><p> </p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p><del class="ministerial">I will reply as soon as possible.</del> <ins class="ministerial"> <p><ins class="ministerial">Department of Health for Northern Ireland officials completed a legislative review in August 2017 as part of Northern Ireland Civil Service’s preparations for EU exit. My officials will discuss with the Department of Health in Northern Ireland the appropriate publication of information relating to the review.</ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial"> </ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial">EU Exit Statutory Instruments are taken through Westminster to correct inoperabilities or provide technical fixes under the powers in section 8 of the European Union Withdrawal Act 2018.</ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial"> </ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial">In this case, the regulations were developed by the Northern Ireland Civil Service and, in the absence of a Stormont Executive, under the terms of the Executive Formation and Exercise of Functions Act, the Permanent Secretary of the Department of Health for Northern Ireland gave his clearance for the Health Services (Cross-Border Health Care and Miscellaneous Amendments) (Northern Ireland) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 on 31 January 2019, to issue to the Department of Health and Social Care for laying in Westminster.</ins></p></ins></p>

unstar this property answer text <p><del class="ministerial">It has not proved possible to respond to the hon Member in the time available before Dissolution.</del></p><p><ins class="ministerial">The provision of car parking is a devolved matter in Northern Ireland. Therefore, the funding allocated to this specific service is a matter for the Northern Ireland Executive to allocate from within the substantial resources provided by the UK Government. </ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial"> </ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial">In 2021/22, the UK Government is providing £14.2bn to the Northern Ireland Executive to enable it to deliver public services for the benefit of all people and communities in Northern Ireland. In addition to this, the UK Government is continuing to drive forward investment through a comprehensive and ambitious set of City and Growth Deals across Northern Ireland, and the creation of the UK Community Renewal Fund, the Levelling Up Fund and the Community Ownership Fund to create opportunities for further investment in people, communities and infrastructure. </ins></p><p><br /> <br /></p>
