The design phase of this programme is at an early stage and it is not possible to provide an estimate at this point. answer text <p>We hold providers rigorously to account for their performance and take proportional action wherever they are falling short. Our contract management teams closely monitor and robustly manage providers to make sure they fulfil their contractual commitments to maintain service delivery, reduce reoffending, protect the public and provide value for money to the taxpayer. However, we cannot release the exact number of Service Credits each Community Rehabilitation Company (CRC) has had to pay as it is commercially sensitive information.</p><p> </p><p>Service Credits can be applied when providers do not meet the required standards. Service Credits are a payment made by the CRC back to the Government, as a means of compensating for services under the contract where the CRC fails to meet the contractual service levels expected.</p> more like this

answer text <p>As part of the Prison Safety and Reform White Paper published in November 2016, the Government committed to an increase of 2,500 prison officers by the end of 2018. <br>Between the end of October 2016 and the end of June 2017, there has been a net increase of 800 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) Band 3 to 5 prison officers. Therefore by the end of 2018 the Government plans to increase prison officer numbers by a further (net) 1,700 FTE officers</p><p>Beyond this date recruitment requirements will depend on operational staffing requirements, future prison estate changes and any future changes to Prison Officer leaving rates.</p> more like this

answer text <p>10 men and 6 women were prosecuted for perjury in the family court in England and Wales in 2016.</p><p> </p><p>This information was obtained from a manual review of court case files that centrally held data indicated may be relevant, and as such has not been through the same quality assurance processes as for routinely published data.</p><p> </p><p>These figures relate to persons for whom these offences were the principal offences for which they were dealt with. When a defendant has been found guilty of two or more offences it is the offence for which the heaviest penalty is imposed. Where the same disposal is imposed for two or more offences, the offence selected is the offence for which the statutory maximum penalty is the most severe.</p> more like this
