answer text <p>The First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) is administered by HM Courts &amp; Tribunals Service.</p><p> </p><p>There are no available data relating to numbers of appeals withdrawn where the Home Office representative did not attend the hearing.</p><p> </p><p>The number of appeal hearings adjourned because the Home Office did not send a representative in (i) 2012-13 was 64 (ii) 2013-14 was 61 and (iii) 2014-15 was 68. For comparison, the figure in 2009/10 was 94.</p><p> </p><p>Data provided are internal Management Information and not subject to the same quality checks as Official Statistics.</p> more like this

answer text <p>As the Justice Secretary said in June, we have a two nation justice system at present. Those who have benefitted financially need to do more to protect access to justice for all and we are discussing with the profession how this can be taken forward.</p><p> </p><p>As the Lord Chief Justice made clear in his annual report, the investment the Government is making to modernise our courts and tribunals is a significant step, and one which will enable us to tackle many of the issues he identified.</p><p> </p> more like this
