answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/07/2019 answer text <p>The Department for International Trade is working to strengthen the UK’s automotive and aerospace sectors as we leave the EU. 2018 automotive exports were over £44bn and aerospace over £34bn, showing that international demand remains strong. We regularly showcase our world leading aerospace and automotive technologies, e.g. at the Paris Air Show in June 2019, and Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2019.</p><p> </p><p>We are building on the strategy outlined in the automotive and aerospace sector deals announced last year. These reports contain detailed information by destination, including the overall value, type (e.g. Military, Other) and a summary of the items covered by these licences. These can be found at: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/strategic-export-controls-licensing-data." target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/strategic-export-controls-licensing-data.</a></p><p>The data currently provides details of licences up to 31 March 2019. The Government has a range of policies, in particular the Industrial Strategy, to enable UK firms to compete in global markets.</p><p> </p><p>The Export Strategy, launched in August 2018, sets out how the Government will enable UK businesses to take advantage of international demand for UK goods and services.
