answer text <p>A summary of responses to our consultations on our Australia and New Zealand trade negotiations can be found on the government’s website.</p><p> </p><p>Transfers of personal data to Australia and New Zealand must continue to satisfy the UK’s high standards of data protection. The deals enshrine a requirement to maintain domestic legislation to protect data. Australia and New Zealand must also publish information on how they protect data, and how UK citizens can enforce their data rights. The UK continues to champion data protection with all Free Trade Agreement partners in line with our published Digital Trade Objectives.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The UK’s intention, as set out in the side letter on geographical indications (GIs) agreed with Australia, is to submit all eligible UK GIs for protection in Australia if a system for the protection of GIs is established there.</p><p> </p><p>Traditional Specialities Guaranteed (such as Traditional Bramley Apple Pie Filling, Traditional Farmfresh Turkey, Traditionally Farmed Gloucestershire Old Spots Pork and Traditionally Reared Pedigree Welsh Pork) and Traditional Terms (Quality Sparkling Wine and Regional Sparkling Wine) are not eligible for protection in trade deals in the same way as geographical indications, and were therefore not listed in the letter.</p> more like this
