answer text
The UK has a multi-year commitment to support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and we plan to continue to fund the Agency in line with that agreement. This will provide basic services such as health and education to Palestinian refugees in Gaza, the West Bank and the region. Both the UK and UNRWA recognise the need for UNRWA to reform to ensure its sustainability, and UNRWA has undertaken significant cost-cutting measures to respond to budget cuts and growing need. We welcome UNRWA’s efforts to broaden its donor base and are encouraging partners to step up with more funding and more predictable disbursements. A long term solution requires a just, fair, agreed and realistic settlement for Palestinian refugees. Until that happens the UK remains firmly committed to supporting UNRWA and Palestinian refugees.
more like this

answer text
DFID Burma is bringing disadvantaged and conflict affected people into the heart of all its development programme. Our aim is to ensure that people who have been affected by poverty, marginalisation and exclusion get access to quality services and can retain and build their human capital, whatever the circumstances they find themselves in. This means making sure groups, like the long-term displaced in parts of Burma and on the Thai-border can get a good education, good health and nutrition and the skills they can use to generate income or benefit from future jobs.

more like this

answer text
The UK’s commitment to the poorest and most vulnerable in all settings is unwavering, as is our requirement that all UK-funded humanitarian partners work according to international humanitarian principles, placing protection at the centre of their work. Our partners carry out vulnerability assessments to ensure aid effectively reaches those most in need, including those from religious minorities, as it is recognised that religion may be a factor in causing vulnerability.
more like this
