star this property answer text <p>The FDI projects included in the Department for International Trade’s inward investment results relate only to those that have landed in the UK during the respective financial year. This means that the activities planned as a result of the investment have commenced in the UK. The FDI statistics do not include FDI projects which have been announced but have not commenced. Further information on the criteria for projects to be included in the statistics is available in the technical annex accompanying the publication.</p> more like this

This is not a general requirement for all companies exporting to Austria. While we have not estimated the potential economic impact of the specific issue raised, estimates for a selection of barriers where Government action is being taken are included in the published “Aggregate valuation estimates for market access barriers”.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The data required to calculate preference utilisation of UK goods exports is collected through customs declarations of the importing partner country. At present this data is not publicly available for non-EU FTA partners. Preference utilisation of EU imports from non-EU partner countries (including Great Britain since 2021) is published by the European Commission: <a href="https://policy.trade.ec.europa.eu/enforcement-and-protection/implementing-and-enforcing-eu-trade-agreements_en" target="_blank">https://policy.trade.ec.europa.eu/enforcement-and-protection/implementing-and-enforcing-eu-trade-agreements_en</a> (<a href="https://circabc.europa.eu/ui/group/7fc51410-46a1-4871-8979-20cce8df0896/library/59ef920b-2ed8-4dd4-acef-f51b5d62305c/details?download=true" target="_blank">file link</a>)</p><p> </p><p>The Department for International Trade has committed to publishing a monitoring report for trade agreements every two years from 2023. This will include preference utilisation rates from all partner countries where available.</p><p> </p><p>Preference utilisation rates by business size is not centrally collected.</p>

star this property answer text <p>UK exports were £728 billion in the 12 months to end of August 2022, up £116 billion in current prices, adjusted for inflation this shows an increase of £49bn.</p><p> </p><p>The Export Strategy provides the foundation of our support for businesses, helping them capitalise on new trade deals. Since its launch, the Export Support Service has received over 11,500 enquiries. We have expanded the Export Academy, boosted our International Trade Advisor network, the ‘<em>Made in the UK, Sold to the World’</em> campaign continues to inspire businesses to export and last week’s International Trade Week attracted over 10,000 business registrations and held 120 business-facing events.</p> more like this
