<p>The government does not hold data on the number of properties owned by rogue landlords. Councils are encouraged to maintain intelligence on the housing stock in their area. Government has recently made available £2 million in funding for innovative and targeted projects, including to help local authorities improve local intelligence on the quality of local private rented sector stock to ensure efficient and targeted enforcement operations.</p><p> </p>
