answer text <p>The current Estate Regeneration Fund is open to bids from local authorities that have partnered with a private organisation to deliver a regeneration project. The funding can be used for land clearance, demolition and rebuilding of homes. Low quality housing and high void rates can be prevalent in areas identified for regeneration and the funding that has been allocated will support places deliver better quality homes, improved public spaces and new housing where it is needed most.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government recognises the importance of providing clarity on the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and we intend to publish the public consultation shortly. Final decisions on the quantum and allocation of the Fund will be decided during the Spending Review this year.</p><p>In his Written Ministerial Statement of 24 July 2018 on Local Growth, HCWS927, the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government was clear the UK Shared Prosperity Fund will be a simplified, integrated fund that tackles inequalities between communities, by raising productivity. The Fund will be aligned to our modern Industrial Strategy.</p> more like this

answer text <p>My Department continues to work closely with the Home Office to assist on the implementation of the EU Settlement Scheme which will give EU citizens already residing in the UK, and those arriving during the Implementation Period, the opportunity to secure their future residence in the UK and to carry out their lives broadly as now</p><p><br> Once the UK has left the EU, the Government will put in place a new single, skills-based immigration system, which will apply to citizens from both EU and non-EU countries. answer text <p>Local councils act independently of central government. They are accountable for their actions to their electorate and there are mechanisms in place for local people to hold councils to account. This means that any questions about spending decisions, the delivery of services, or the performance of a council are for that council to respond to. If local people remain unsatisfied with the response they receive from the council they can contact the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman for advice.</p><p>In respect of Freedom of Information requests, if a requester is unhappy with the response of the local authority to their FOI requests, they can ask the independent Information Commissioner to investigate.</p> more like this
