<p>Independent scrutiny is a vital part of assurance that our charter operations are safe, secure and humane. We are pleased that the report found that returnees are generally treated fairly. The recommendations are currently being considered and the government will be writing to the Independent Monitoring Board with a response to the recommendations, which include actions for the escorting contractor.</p>
