They will be able to use e-Gates if they are travelling on a biometric passport, and they will not be routinely questioned about their status in the UK.</p><p>During 2020, the UK will phase out the use of EEA national identity cards. We will make an announcement on when this will happen and will give notice so that EU citizens and carriers can prepare. However, the Home Office remains committed to improving the law enforcement response to fraud. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/09/2019 answer text <p>It is vital that the estimated three million EU citizens and their non-EU family members living in the UK understand how and when to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme.</p><p>When the scheme fully opened in March, the Home office delivered a £3.75m marketing campaign to raise awareness of the scheme and encourage applications. As of 31 August 2019, 1.3 million people have now applied to the EU Settlement Scheme. Of these, approximately 66,700 are non-EU family members. EU citizens and their families have until at least 31 December 2020 to apply, and the Home Office will continually monitor interest and intake to the scheme throughout its lifetime.</p><p>Further advertising and stakeholder communications are underway to continue to raise awareness of the scheme. All available channels will be used to reach our audiences – such as direct marketing, radio, video-on-demand and outdoor advertising, presentations, email updates, toolkits and webinars to name a few – to direct all eligible cohorts towards reliable sources of information on GOV.UK and the application itself.</p><p>No-one will be left behind which is why we are also working in partnership with vulnerable group representatives, local authorities and other experts to make everyone knows what they need to do and has the right level of support. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/10/2019 answer text <p><del class="ministerial">The Government’s Joint Fraud Taskforce (a coalition between government, industry, law enforcement and the third sector) continues to lead an ambitious programme of work to design out and prevent fraud that occurs both online and offline. This includes the<em>Take Five</em> fraud awareness campaign, designed to urge the public and businesses to take time to consider whether a situation they find themselves in is genuine.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">Online personal scams are increasingly perpetrated via cyber-enabled methods. To protect victims, the Government set up the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) in October 2016. The NCSC is the UK’s technical authority on cyber security and provides a single, central body for cyber security at a national level. The NCSC works very closely with law enforcement agencies and the intelligence community to help prevent, disrupt and investigate cyber-crime and other online cyber related threats. In 2018 the NCSC took down 22,133 phishing campaigns, including 14,124 UK government-related phishing sites, and the total number of takedowns of fraudulent websites was 192,256, across 2018, with 64% of them down in 24 hours.</del></p><p><ins class="ministerial">The City of London Police undertake a national lead force role for the investigation of serious and complex fraud cases. The Home Office remains committed to improving the law enforcement response to fraud. That is why we requested that Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary Fire and Rescue Services (HMICFRS) conduct a thematic inspection on fraud, including Action Fraud, and set out measures for improving the response to fraud in our Economic Crime Plan, which was published in July. The City of London Police (as the National Lead Force for fraud) is currently implementing recommendations within HMICFRS’ inspection report, which was published on 2<sup>nd</sup> April.</ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial">The scale and complexity of the threat from serious and organised crime means that we need to do more to develop our response. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/10/2019 answer text <p>If the UK leaves the EU with a deal we will continue to participate in the Dublin III Regulation, under which unaccompanied asylum-seeking children in the EU currently reunite with family members in other EU Member States, during the implementation period.</p><p>The UK would cease participating in the Dublin III Regulation immediately if we were to leave the EU without a deal. However, the Immigration, Nationality and Asylum (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 makes a ‘saving’ such that any Dublin family reunion cases which have entered the system prior to exit day will continue to be processed in a no deal situation.</p><p>We want a close future partnership to tackle the shared challenges on asylum and illegal migration. Section 17 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 commits the Government to seek to negotiate an agreement with the EU which allows for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children in the EU to join family members lawfully present in the UK, where it is in their best interests. This commitment stands whether we leave the EU with or without a deal.
