answer text <p>I chair the National Retail Crime Steering Group (NRCSG) which brings together partners including the police, trade bodies and retailers and is overseeing a range of work to tackle retail crime. This includes the collation and dissemination of good practice and developing guidance on the use of Impact Statements for Business, which give victims of business crime the opportunity to set out the impact the crime has had on the business, including, for example, financial loss. The NRCSG also continues to work with retailers to improve the management and response to shop theft using a partnership approach.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Windrush Compensation Scheme rules are available on the government website at <a href="http://www.gov.uk/windrush-compensation." target="_blank">www.gov.uk/windrush-compensation</a></p><p>Annex B of the rules sets out the immigration application fees for which reimbursement may be claimed under the scheme, where an application has been unsuccessful where the applicant was not able to provide sufficient evidence of their lawful status.</p><p>Since it was first published on 3 April, annex B of the rules has been amended to clarify that this category includes an application for British citizenship and an application for a certificate of entitlement to a right of abode.</p><p>Where an individual has made more than one relevant unsuccessful application and they meet the criteria for an award, reimbursement of fees for each application will be considered.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Windrush Compensation Scheme rules are available on the government website at <a href="http://www.gov.uk/windrush-compensation" target="_blank">www.gov.uk/windrush-compensation</a>.</p><p>Paragraphs 4.5 and 4.6 of the rules set out the provisions around criminality. This provides that the Home Office may reduce or decline to make an award under the scheme to a claimant who has been convicted of an offence in respect of which they have received a sentence of imprisonment of four years or more and their offending was of such a nature that it makes it inappropriate to make an award in whole or in part. This provision does not apply to a conviction and sentence outside of the UK for conduct which on the date of the conviction was not an offence in the UK.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Claimants requiring assistance who meet the compensation scheme eligibility criteria will be referred by the Windrush Helpline to Citizens Advice, which has been contracted to assist claimants with completion of the form and gathering evidence. After referral the claimant will be contacted to arrange an appointment in person or over the phone, where the claimant is in the UK. Claimants overseas may be referred for an appointment over the phone, which will be at no cost to the claimant.</p> more like this
