In the action plan we have committed to ensuring all refugees are empowered to integrate and rebuild their lives in the UK, focusing on improving support for English language, employment, mental health, and orientation to life in the UK.</p><p><br>The Government recognises that learning English is essential to empowering refugees to rebuild their lives and move towards self-sufficiency and integration. We are working across government to develop a new strategy for English for speakers of other languages in 2019. ODWs are provided with a bespoke leaflet informing them of their employment rights when they lodge their visa application, before they enter the UK.</p><p>The Government is currently running a procurement exercise to identify a provider of the information sessions for Overseas Domestic Workers. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/07/2019 answer text <p>The Government is absolutely committed to transferring the specified number of 480 unaccompanied children under section 67 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Dubs Amendment) as soon as possible. Over 220 children were transferred to the UK under section 67 when the Calais camp was cleared in late 2016. Since then we have been making further progress with the three participating States – France, Greece, and Italy – to refer and transfer more eligible children to move closer to the commitment to transfer 480 children.</p><p>The UK is at the forefront in protecting children affected by the migration crisis. Section 67 is one of a number of schemes that offer a safe and legal route to the UK for the most vulnerable refugees. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/06/2019 answer text <p><br>The Home Office does not routinely comment on the nationalities of Foreign National Offenders (FNO).</p><p>Providing the information requested on the type of offence would require a manual check of individual records which could only be done at disproportionate cost.</p><p>The Home Office do however publish quarterly statistics on the numbers of FNOs who have completed their custodial sentence and are being pursued for removal from the UK. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/07/2019 answer text <p>Leaving the EU with a deal remains the Government’s top priority. This has not changed. However, a responsible government must plan for every eventuality, including a no deal scenario.</p><p>As laid out in the policy paper ‘Immigration from 31 October 2019, if there is no deal’ published on the 28 January 2019, if the UK leaves the EU without a deal there will be a transition period, once free movement has ended and before the UK’s new skills-based immigration system begins on 1 January 2021.</p><p>Arrangements for EU, EEA and Swiss citizens arriving after free movement ends, coming to visit, work or study, for the duration of less than three months, will not look any different.</p><p>To stay longer than three months during the transition period, newly arrived EU citizens will need to apply for European Temporary Leave to Remain, which lasts for a further 36 months.
