We are tracking the use of new psychoactive substances (which captures synthetic cannabinoids such as those in 'spice') though the annual Drug Misuse publication, which found that NPS use in England and Wales has fallen from 0.7 per cent in 2015/16 to 0.4 per cent in 2016/17. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/03/2018 answer text <p>The Government is committed to tackling all forms of extremism and terrorism, whether Islamist or far and extreme right-wing.</p><p>In December 2016, the neo-Nazi group National Action became the first extreme right-wing group to be proscribed. Additionally, our latest published statistics showed that around a quarter of all those who received support through Channel were referred because of far right concerns. Channel is a voluntary and confidential programme which supports individuals who are vulnerable to being drawn into terrorism.</p><p>Through the 2016 Hate Crime Action Plan the Government has funded additional security measures in 129 places of worship, including places targeted by far and extreme right-wing extremists. The Action Plan will be refreshed later in 2018. We recognise the damage and disruption that different crimes can have on businesses including smaller businesses and convenience stores.</p><p>Through the National Retail Crime Steering Group, which I co-chair with the British Retail Consortium, we bring together representatives from government departments, the police and the retail sector, including the Association of Convenience Stores, to focus on the crime issues that affect businesses of all sizes. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/03/2018 answer text <p>The statutory definition of terrorism is provided at section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2000, and the Government has no plans to amend this. There is no single statutory definition of ‘terrorist material’ however there are a range of applicable offences. It is unlawful under section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006 to publish a statement directly or indirectly encouraging another person to commit, prepare or instigate an act of terrorism.</p><p>Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006 covers dissemination of publications which are likely to be understood as such an encouragement, or to be useful to a person preparing or committing an act of terrorism. Section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000 makes it unlawful to collect or possess information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism. We will build a comprehensive picture of the needs and interests of all parts of the UK and look to develop a system which works for all.</p><p> </p><p>We will make decisions on the future immigration system based on evidence and engagement, which why we asked the independent Migration Advisory Committee to advise on the economic and social impacts of the UK’s exit from the EU and also on how the UK’s immigration system should be aligned with a modern industrial strategy.
