answer text <p>It is not possible to provide separate figures for those who have and do not have an inherited bleeding disorder. Not all deaths will have been reported to the current or former infected blood payment schemes, and cause of death is not recorded, so data here cannot be considered to be representative of all deaths since 11 July 2017.</p><p> </p><p>The former infected blood payment schemes responsible for beneficiaries in England, Wales and Northern Ireland ceased operation on 31 October 2017. A new infected blood support scheme was launched on 1 November 2017 and covers England only. answer text <p>The information powers in the Health Service Medical Supplies (Costs) Act 2017 can only be implemented by regulations. At the end of last year the Department consulted on those regulations and we are currently analysing the responses to that consultation.</p><p> </p><p>The Competition and Markets Authority has provisionally found that that Concordia abused its dominant position to overcharge the National Health Service by millions for liothyronine tablets. A provisional decision does not necessarily lead to an infringement decision. Where companies have breached competition law, the Department will seek damages and invest that money back into the NHS.</p> more like this

The Department does not have access to this information regarding primary care and dentistry.</p>

answer text <p>No assessment has been made by the Department on whether introducing a compulsory eyesight test for children aged under five would have an effect on the number of diagnoses of Amblyopia and other serious eye conditions in childhood.</p><p> </p><p>All babies have eye screening at birth and again at about six weeks of age by a general practitioner (GP) or health visitor.</p><p> </p><p>In most parts of England, children are offered a screening test to look for reduced vision in one or both eyes during their first year at school.</p><p> </p><p>In addition all children aged under 16 are eligible for free National Health Service sight tests and parents and carers are encouraged to raise any health concerns, including eye health concerns, with their GP.</p> more like this
