In December 2022, my right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, approved a further 20 locations for new CDCs across the country, which will help more people to easily access life-saving checks, tests and scans. We worked closely with NHS leadership to agree £3.3 billion per year of new funding for the NHS in England at the Autumn Statement. This will allow an additional two million people, including 345,000 children and young people, to get the mental health support they need, such as a diagnosis for bipolar disorder. We aim to increase the mental health workforce by an additional 27,000 healthcare professionals by 2023/24 to support this expansion and transformation of services.</p><p> </p><p>NHS England has consulted on the potential to introduce five new mental health-related waiting time standards as part of its clinically-led review of NHS access standards. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/01/2023 answer text <p>The Government recognises the impact of diabetes on mental health and will further develop this work as part of the major Conditions Strategy announced by the Secretary of State on 24 January.</p><p>Since 2019, NHS England has funded two pilots in London and in Wessex to further develop the evidence base around how best to manage people with diabetes. Research showed a higher rate of eating and psychiatric disorder in people with type 1 diabetes patients. The National Health Service national diabetes programme commissioned MyType1 Diabetes. This platform is for type 1 diabetes patients and available nationwide. Healthy Living, a self-management online support programme was also commissioned for adults with type 2 diabetes.
