<p>The fluorescent dye 5-AminoLevulinic Acid (5-ALA) is already in use in some brain cancer centres. NHS England has communicated its commitment to implementation in all relevant National Health Service trusts and is currently working with neurosurgical centres to ensure that 5-ALA is available for use in accordance with National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidelines from July 2018.</p>
