answer text <p>The information requested is not collected centrally.</p><p>The provision of patient transport services is a matter for local National Health Service commissioners. NHS England has advised that High Weald Havens Clinical Commissioning Group commissioned an independent investigation into these events, which reported in March 2017. Accordingly, there are no plans to undertake a further independent investigation.</p> more like this

answer text <p>I have asked NHS England to investigate this provision of transport services and NHS England is finalising the terms of reference for an independent review which will investigate how the commissioners were assured that all providers contracted by Coperforma were properly registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). As part of this investigation the timeline of events and communications between the clinical commissioning group (CCG) and Coperforma will be looked at.</p><p> </p><p>In relation to Question 49779 NHS England has supplied the following:-</p><p> </p><p>- On 29 July High Weald Lewes Haven CCG contacted Coperforma requesting an update on Docklands Medical Services Ltd’s CQC registration.</p><p>- On 3 August Copeforma contacted the CCG informing them that Docklands Medical Services Ltd were still awaiting their updated CQC registration.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>NHS England advises High Weald Havens Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) does not hold information about the value of the invoices of costs incurred by trusts arising from performance problems with Patient Transport Services provided by Coperforma.</p><p> </p><p>NHS England advises that National Health Service trusts that have incurred costs have invoiced Coperforma directly. However, analysis of costs has now been provided by Coperforma Ltd to the CCG. The CCG is working with Coperforma to validate this information and NHS England confirms the CCG will provide this information to the hon. Member in due course.</p> more like this

However, Coperforma informs the CCG that Docklands Medical Services Ltd became operational on 30 June 2016.</p><p> </p><p>The CCG advises that Docklands Medical Services Ltd voluntarily ceased trading in Sussex on 14 September 2016 and the last operational day was 13 September 2016. Since it has ceased operation in Sussex, the CCG confirms it is for this reason that it has not been included on a list of current subcontractors for Coperforma which are subject to regulation by the CQC.</p><p> </p><p>Docklands Medical Services (London) Ltd went into liquidation and ceased operation on 9 June 2016 and the CCG confirms it is for this reason that Docklands Medical Services (London) Ltd has not been included on a list of current subcontractors for Coperforma which are subject to regulation by the CQC.</p>
