<p>Excellence in Continence Care is best practice guidance and NHS England does not
currently hold information on which clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) have put
the guidance into practice. However it anticipates auditing CCGs in future in order
to capture this information.</p><p> </p><p>NHS England issued a press release and
secured significant media coverage to launch the guidance in 2015 and has promoted
it to a range of audiences including special interest groups, professional societies
and provider organisations.</p><p> </p><p>In addition to media work, NHS England has
engaged with key stakeholders who form part of the Excellence in Continence Care Board.
The Board membership has evolved over time and has included clinical experts working
in National Health Service organisations, patient advocates and representatives. Board
members support NHS England to raise awareness of the guidance to special interest
groups, patients groups, professionals within their extended networks which recently
included the Association of Continence Advisors Conference.</p>
