answer text
The Government is investing £16 billion over the Spending Review period for local authorities (LAs) to spend on public health. LAs are responsible for making decisions on how to spend their local allocation but the public health grant conditions make it clear that they must have regard for the need to improve the take up of, and outcomes from, their drug and alcohol misuse treatment services. Public Health England guidance, developed with drug service providers, promotes the need for local authorities, commissioners and healthcare providers to work together to create systems and pathways that enable people who use drugs, including those who experience homelessness, to access services.
more like this

Use of best value biologics is part of this programme which will drive rapid uptake of biosimilar medicines in the NHS. Trastuzumab is currently available as two products – one for intravenous (IV) use and the other for subcutaneous use. We are expecting several biosimilars of the IV preparation to be available sometime in 2018. As part of the medicines value programme we expect 80% uptake of the best value biologic within 12 months – this applies only to the IV preparation.
more like this

This includes the sharing of relevant information. The statutory guidance Special educational needs and disability code of practice:0 to 25 years issued jointly by the Department of Health and the Department for Education, provides advice on how the partners can work together and share information in their statutory roles. answer text
The proposals as set out in the Green Paper would cost £215 million over the next three years towards the creation of Mental Health Support Teams (including to train and employ the new workforce), piloting a four week waiting time standard and rolling out mental health first aid training in primary schools. Funding will be made available to take forward the proposals following the consultation. As set out in the Impact Assessment which was published alongside the Green Paper, £15-20 million will also be made available, by the Department for Education, each year from 2019 for significant training programmes for schools and colleges until all schools and colleges have had the opportunity to train a Designated Senior Lead for mental health.

However, it is worth noting that specifics around the proposals, which may impact on the cost estimates provided above and set out in the impact assessment, will be determined post consultation. The outcome of the trailblazer phase will also inform future roll-out and costs.

Funding decisions for the Green Paper proposals after the current spending review ends in 2020/21 will be subject to future spending reviews.
